Contracts, covenants and legal rights within the family bloodline can bring in the demonic. Even if you were never a Celtic Druid, Mason, witch, warlock or member of a secret society or questionable group, if someone in your family participated, even many generations back, there is a huge probability that residual curses will flow down to you, your children, and grandchildren.
It has been the experience of many, that if a person wants to walk in realms of greater freedom (won by Jesus Christ on the cross), it behooves them to renounce and repent of dark oaths, pledges, and contracts that may have been agreed to, in times past. Through these renderings, whole families were exchanged for ‘benefits’ on satanic trading floors. Father God created the world with His words, and our lives are framed by the words that have been spoken over us, and by the words that we subsequently speak. They are powerful containers for both good or evil.
"10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter" (James 3:10-11).
Working though renunciations in order to clear the generational bloodlines is not difficult and not greatly advertised. The benefits of so doing, when there is sincerity from the heart, result in a more efficient deliverance when later working with a counselor. "By your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned"(Matthew 12:37). Through stripping away the legal rights formerly held by Satan, not only is the individual benefitted, but family members may find mountains of problems solved and unexplained tragedies shifting through the work of the Holy Spirit. Stolen familial blessings and gifts that were held behind a wall of curses now may be released allowing individuals to carry out their assignments for Jesus with less hindrances.
Fortunately, high-level occultists who have become Christians, disillusioned with the esoteric, have brought back inside information. At great personal expense they have scouted the realms of darkness and given us specific data based on actual rituals. In this way Christians can pray laser-like prayers that specifically address and reverse many of these evil rituals. As the saying goes, when is a curse broken? When you beak it!
Some of the classic scriptures are as follows:
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” (Exodus 20:3-5)

“And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.” (Exodus 34:6-7)
These verses describe curses going to the third and fourth generation but this was a template not meant to be taken literally except as a minimum. The curse of the bastard is said to rest upon the generational lines a minimum of ten generations, “A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD” (Deuteronomy 23:2-5). If any subsequent generation repeats the sin of a child being born out of wedlock, the curse continues to multiply down the family line, ever increasing the generational debt.
Yvonne Kitchens of Fruitful Vine Ministries, Australia has written books covering different topics that address problems and curses that plague family bloodlines. She is one of several prophetic ministers who has produced resources with the goal of helping people specifically break free from generational curses.
Dr. Selwin Stevens is another author with information that address topics such as Catholicism, Freemasonry, martial arts and alternative healing. His prayers of renunciation can be found through “Arsenal Books.”
Dan Duval of Bride Ministries has many unique prayers that target various issues, some of which are unique and discovered only through his work of inner healing and deliverance counseling with ritual abuse survivors.
Besides awareness, the first call to action may be to document the family history. Developing an accurate family history, with all its multicolored branches, can be done by drawing an actual tree on an art pad, through journaling, developing a timeline, by looking through a family photo album and making a collage, or by interviewing living relatives and recording their memories and stories. You may find as you work through this exercise that you or your loved one’s experience timeline “gaps” or memory blocks. Loss of memory or time may be an indicator that generational witchcraft is working through the family bloodline.
The clues we find as we gather the puzzle pieces during memory work coupled with the direction of the holy spirit will give us a road map on how to proceed in developing a prayer strategy on the road towards personal freedom.
As you work through this exercise, take note of major iniquities that seem to appear or keep appearing in your family bloodline. For example, in each generation does alcoholism appear, if no, does it appear at all? How often and on what sides of the family? Mother’s side, father’s side? Both? Was there a propensity for infidelity or sex outside of marriage? Divorce? Pornography, incest or other perversions? Were there mental health issues, illnesses, strange or recurrent accidents, poverty? Is there information about when a malady was first noticed? The more information, the better in order to formulate a prayer roadmap.
Another consideration when looking at the possibility of curses within the family line is to closely examine Deuteronomy 28 verses 15 through 68. The curses are described in a “cause and effect” format. This information can assist us to formulate specific prayers of repentance based on the evidence of these sins and curses in our own bloodlines.
Profiling can be a great tool for law enforcement officers. When I was working the streets in Chicago as an agent, I often located missing individuals based on what I knew about the ‘probability’ of their whereabouts. This can also be helpful in locating likely familial weaknesses and sins of the fathers through the historical country of origin.
In times past, it was considered a shame to talk about family secrets or problems. It was kept hush-hush and individuals were threatened never to talk about family or to give up secrets. For example, if you have an Italian background, perhaps there is mafioso hidden within your bloodline. This would logically lead one to believe that there could also be a spirit of murder, theft, or revenge ascribed to the lineage. Through the development of a realistically accurate family registry, we can pinpoint areas where renunciations may be beneficial. Working through renunciations and repentances is not a “salvic" issue, but it is helpful in allowing the blessings of God to flow to individuals and families, especially where there have been problems. The result of these cleansing prayers will affect the quality of our life here on earth as Jesus promises to “draw near to those who draw near to Him”(James 4:8).

Grandfather on the mother side: was a gambler, an underwater naval diver, a private pilot with his own plane, a secret Mason, taught himself to play guitar and could sing and perform like nobody's business, was a ‘good’ Catholic and donated to the church, traveled all over the USA as a big game hunter, was a connoisseur of food and drink, owned a five-star restaurant up in the mountains, smoked cigars, his youngest son died at age two, divorced his wife for a younger woman.
Grandfather on the father side: emigrated to the United States from Italy. Had been a mounted police officer in Italy, which required secret membership in the Italian Masonic lodge, he became a master landscape artist/ arborist in the United States, was jealous of his wife’s success with her restaurants, was verbally abusive, drank a lot of alcohol, smoked cigars, attended Catholic mass almost daily, was a womanizer and left for California in a desperate attempt to add spice to his life where he attempted to be a movie star and hung out with the Jett-setters.
In the immediate family: Father-at age seventeen in a fit of anger, ran out into the street and threw rocks at the tall street lamps, breaking many of the glass covers. Years later, he called the city and confessed his crime and wrote them a check for the damages. He was drawn towards pornography. His good friend was a Catholic priest who helped him get into college on a football scholarship. Was an altar boy in grade school and doesn't remember much of his childhood except the times he stood up to protect his mother from his father’s physical abuse.
Mother- Acquired polio at age five following an injection given by a doctor at the naval base in San Diego. Afterwards, her mom took her to a strange lady to see if she could be healed. The lady peeped and muttered incantations over her and applied some strange potions. Her right arm never worked again. Mysteriously, she fell backwards off the second-floor balcony onto her head and was placed in the hospital with her skull in ice. Her mother, a member of the Eastern Star, was practicing her golf swing and when she swung back, she knocked out all of my mother’s front teeth. Was the prom queen at her high school, but the family moved every two years and she had no lasting friendships. Left her parents when she was seventeen and lived on her own while attending college, supporting herself as a waitress. She met her husband freshman year. but over the summer going into sophomore year, he decided to go visit family in Italy. They almost broke up because there were women in Italy who begged him to marry him (he looked like a young Elvis). They wrote all summer long and got married before starting sophomore year at the University.
Father graduated as a teacher with a specialization in health and physical fitness. Mother gave up her dream of being a chemist, and opted to stay home after they were married. They had five miscarriages before they successfully had their first-born child, baby number six. Their second born child, died at the hospital. Father worked as a football, basketball, wrestling coach in the inner city of Chicago and did not spend much time with the resulting twelve children. He had a vicious temper until he was saved when oldest child was about nine years old. Mom walked to Catholic church most every morning but had a horrible temper and was loud and abusive with children until she got saved. She threatened to leave many times.
Oldest daughter- Ran away at age five and hid under a bush in the rain. Found by police at age six on her bike far away from home and once returned home, was told she was going to put into an orphanage if she left again. Targeted by a Masonic neighbor and priests at Catholic church. Introduced to pornography at age twelve stumbled upon it in the prairie between home and school. At age seventeen, raped at a neighbor’s house, dropped out of high school and joined the Army. Pregnant at age eighteen out of wedlock. Lost the second child, died before birth. Drank alcohol to numb the pain until re-dedicated her life back to Christ. Traveled overseas and almost decided to not come back but because of her daughter returned state-side."
OK I'll stop there. I'm sure you get the point, and I'm not even describing how it affected the lives of subsequent children.
So, a potential “Road Map” to healing in this family history (both sides) as we address what happened may look like this:
#1- Prayers of R2 (Renunciations and Repentance) for Freemasonry and all offshoots (Odd Fellows, Knights Templar, Scottish Right, Eastern Star). This is one of the most prevalent and yet most hidden of satanic influences within bloodlines. Because members take oaths of silence, family members may not even know it’s present within their family tree. This scourge opens the door to innumerable illness. Just reading through the oaths and rituals performed within the lodge, one can deduce this group is clearly satanic.
#2- R2 Catholic Renunciations- cultic, satanic, not to mention all the abuse of children by the clergy.
#3- R2 Satanic Renunciations- Witchcraft is bad and God only knows what they dedicated to satan in previous generations in order to win at war, love, to garner treasures, kingdoms and power.
#4- R2 Sexual Sins-Perversions, Incest, Adultery, Fornication, Reproductive Issues.
#5- R2 Addictions- gambling, alcohol, cigars, cigarettes, sex.
#6- R2 Anger Issues-including vagabond spirit, pride, vanity, jealousy.
This is just an example and I'm sure you can read into the paragraph above and come up with many more issues whether overt or underlying that would prove beneficial to renounce. Anytime known sin in our bloodline is not repented of, it propagates and becomes a snowball affecting generations through the open doors it provides. Unconfessed sin gives Satan legal ground through which to work his evil and interweave it into the story of our lives. It will cause sorrow and misfortune to be in our families. Just read Deuteronomy chapter 28 and we can make the comparison, am I walking in victory? Or am I and my family living under a curse?
It is important for us to stand and forcefully confess that we want no part of satan's kingdom, no part of the oaths and covenants that were taken without our knowledge or consent. We break, we renounce and ask for the blood of Y’shua to wash away all of our DNA that has been placed on satanic alters all the way back to the great I am and all the way down to a thousand generations. We stand against and renounce and repent for all unrighteous headship and quid pro quo covenants and contracts. It takes discipline but just as in the same way we were given eternal life in Jesus Christ through our lips making a confession of faith, the same can be said for clearing the bloodlines through appropriating Jesus’s finished work on the cross and standing AGAINST these sins in our generational lines. For we are called to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling" (Phil 2:12). GM
What does it mean to renounce something?
To renounce means to speak of one’s self. If something has been renounced it has been rejected, cut off, or the individual is refusing to follow or obey. Other words that fit with the subject of renunciations include refuse, repudiate, and resist. It is a joy to realize that by the act of our repentance, we can appropriate the finished work of Messiah Y’shua (Jesus). His shed Blood reverses all curses.
Scripture says: Proverbs 28:13 “He who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes his sins will obtain mercy.”
2 Corinthians 4:2 “We have renounced disgraceful ways (secret thoughts, feelings, desires and underhandedness, the methods and arts that men hide through shame); we refuse to deal craftily (to practice trickery and cunning) or to adulterate or handle dishonestly the Word of GOD, but we state the truth openly (clearly and candidly). And so we commend ourselves in the sight and presence of GOD to every man’s conscience.”
We have seen the effect in so many people’s lives of confessing, repenting, and turning away from the idolatry and demonic covenants that have permeated their very existence, unbeknown to them. The fact that this exists is truly an evil demonic plot against the Body of Messiah.
Y’shua (Jesus) calls us to be actively engaged seeking freedom and wholeness, no matter what our life experiences.
GOD’s Word gives us a promise:
Isaiah 54:17 “But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This (peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition) is the heritage of the servants of the LORD (those in whom the ideal Servant of the LORD is reproduced); this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me (this is that which I impart to them as their justification), says the LORD.”
Guidelines for using prayers of renunciation :
The Book of James highlights very clearly for us that there is a two-fold step in order to be released from all bondages.
The two-legged renunciation of occultic involvement is:
1. Confession of involvement.
To confess involvement, the prayer is read out loud, preferably with one or more witnesses present, as well as with a trained counsellor. The reason for this is so that the individual will have a memorial of remembrance of the renunciation prayer. These prayers are similar to proclamations ... as such we encourage you to declare them boldly and in faith, covered by the Blood of Messiah Y’shua (Jesus).
Only half of the renunciation process has been completed at this stage. The next part is very important. This is where the counsellor is essential.
2. Warfare ... resist the enemy.
The counsellor/prayer minister now comes in agreement with the individual(s) and conducts spiritual warfare against the kingdom of darkness as the Holy Spirit leads to deal with each one of the elements that is contained in the prayer.
In speaking these prayers from the heart, we use certain key words — such as the powers of darkness involved and the effects of involvement — anything the Holy Spirit highlights or that we feel are important, and which need to be specially addressed.
The powers are rebuked, bound, uprooted from the bloodline, and commanded to become a footstool to the Messiah Y’shua (Hebrews 10:13). Remember to also cut the individual loose from the man-made laws and institutions of the organization/s involved and to replace the void with declarations of blessings from the scripture.
These R2 prayers are only a guideline. If there are concepts or sections that the Holy Spirit highlights for you as you pray, then its encouraged that you address them, and ask the Holy Spirit to direct you on how to bring the breakthrough.
Remember, He is our Perfect Teacher and Counsellor!
James 4:7 “So be subject to GOD. Resist the devil (stand firm against him), and he will flee from you.”
James 5:16 “Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray (also) for one another, that you may be healed and restored (to a spiritual tone of mind and heart). The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working).”
Psalm 110:1 “THE LORD (GOD) says to my Lord (the Messiah), Sit at My right hand, until I make Your adversaries Your footstool" (Matthew 26:64; Acts 2:34; I Corinthians 15:25; Colossians 3:1; Hebrew 12:2.).
Hebrews 1:13 “Besides, to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at My right hand (associated with Me in My royal dignity) till I make your enemies a stool for your feet?"
Hebrews 10:13 “Then to wait until His enemies should be made a stool beneath His feet.”
3. Restoration with the Kingdom of GOD.
Finally, the individual must choose to submit under the Law of Messiah Y’shua (Jesus).
In conclusion, we leave you with the blessing commanded by the FATHER ... May He be your Shield, your Light, and Shalom (Peace). May He grant you the victory in all things, that you may learn of His Ways, and SH’MA1 (hear and do).

Declaration of CONFIDENCE in GOD’s Protection
No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper and every tongue, which rises against us in judgment, we do condemn. This is our heritage as servants of the LORD, and our righteousness is from You, O LORD of Hosts. If there are those who have been speaking or praying against us, or seeking harm or evil to us, or who have rejected us, we forgive them and, having forgiven them, we bless them in the Name of the LORD.
Matthew 5:43-45 “You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy; But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, To show that you are the children of your FATHER Who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall upon the upright and the wrongdoers (alike).”
Romans 12:14 “Bless those who persecute you (who are cruel in their attitude toward you); bless and do not curse them.”
Now we declare, O LORD, that You and You alone are our GOD, and besides You there is no other — a just GOD and Saviour, the FATHER, the Son and the Spirit — and we worship You!
We submit ourselves afresh to You this day in unreserved obedience. Having submitted to You, LORD, we do as Your Word directs. We resist the devil — all his pressures, his attacks, and his deceptions, every instrument or agent he would seek to use against us. We do not submit! We resist him, drive him from us and exclude him from us in the Name of Y’shua (Jesus). Specifically, we reject and repel infirmity, pain, infection, inflammation, malignancies, allergies, viruses and every form of witchcraft.
Finally, LORD, we thank You that through the sacrifice of Y’shua (Jesus) on the cross, we have passed out from under the curse and entered into the blessing of Abraham, whom You blessed in all things — exaltation, health, reproduction, prosperity, victory and GOD’s Favour.
AMEN!
